HLS directory
Using the HLS Directory menu item, we can create geographical postitions for
Type | Function |
---|---|
HLS | Used for off-airfield landings sites. If using HCM Live! landing at these locations will automatically update the flight log |
AIRFIELD | Denotes an airfield. |
OPERATIONS BASE | Used for a base. These bases can be used to assign aircraft, duties and checks/recency items to a base |
FIXED PLATFORM | An oil or gas rig |
HOSPITAL | Self explanatory |
ELEVATED HELIPAD | Any raised helideck onshore >3m |
FPSO | Fixed offshore processing facility |
DRILLER | Drilling Rig |
BOAT | A boat with helipad and unstable deck |
To Add information
Click on the Add New Landing Site
button. A modal appears. Right click on the map to set the co-ordinates, or alternatively enter tem manually in decimal notation.
Green / Amber / Red Option
To the left of each site, is a Green / Amber / Red circle which denotes the site is Available / Available with Warnings (read the notes / attachments) / Red - Closed until further notice.
Uploading plates and attachments
Click on the Manage Attachments
button to upload and manage the documents attached to the site. These can be a variety of formats including .pdf
, docx
and others. You can add as many attachments as you wish. See the video at the bottom of this section to see this in action.
Options available
In addition to name, and site notes (free text), there are options for :
Option | Function |
---|---|
Private | Means crew cannot see these, but HCM Live! will log a landing at them (for sensitive sites) |
Night Approved | Checkbox to denote if site is approved for night/nvis operations |
Last Survey | Date of last HLS survey |
Survey Expiry | Date when the site requires a re-survey |
